Awards Integrity & Conflicts of Interest
Fair and evidence-based assessment
Entries should be assessed consistently against published Community Champions recognition criteria, using verifiable evidence of tangible benefit, social value, inspiration and exceptional contribution. Detailed scoring rules will be published before nominations open.
Conflicts of interest
Judges and decision-makers must disclose actual, potential or perceived conflicts, including employment, close commercial relationships, family relationships or material financial interests involving an entrant. A conflicted judge must not assess the relevant entry unless an appropriate documented management decision permits it.
Confidentiality and data access
Judges must keep unpublished entries, supporting evidence, scores and deliberations confidential, use information only for authorised judging, and not download or share materials beyond approved channels.
Sponsor and organiser boundaries
Sponsors may support the programme but cannot buy a shortlist place, score or award. Organisers must document material scoring changes and any exceptional decisions. Entrants must not lobby judges or offer benefits intended to affect outcomes.
Accuracy and concerns
Entrants are responsible for accurate submissions and appropriate permissions for personal information and images. Concerns about fairness or misconduct may be sent to hello@communitychampionsawards.com. A formal complaints and appeals timetable will be defined before nominations launch.
