Competition Law & Anti-Collusion Policy
Our commitment
Community Champions supports fair and independent recognition across the transport and infrastructure sectors. All organisers, judges, sponsors, nominees and attendees must comply with applicable UK competition law, including the Competition Act 1998.
Prohibited conduct
Participants must not use awards meetings, judging discussions, events or communications to coordinate prices, bids, customers, territories, capacity, employment terms where unlawful, or other competitively sensitive conduct. Agreements or understandings to distort competition are prohibited.
Information safeguards
Do not exchange non-public future pricing, tender strategies, margins, customer-specific terms or other commercially sensitive information with competitors. Nomination materials should focus on demonstrable community impact; organisers may request redaction of unrelated commercially sensitive content.
Independence of the awards
Sponsorship, ticket purchases, commercial relationships and advertising do not influence eligibility, judging scores, shortlist decisions or winners. No participant may seek to manipulate an outcome or improperly influence a judge.
Reporting concerns
Raise any suspected anti-competitive behaviour or improper influence promptly and confidentially with the organiser at hello@communitychampionsawards.com. The organiser may suspend consideration of an entry or refer concerns to appropriate advisers or authorities. This policy does not replace legal advice.
